An underwater cache is a cache where the container is completely submerged under water. Most require either swimming or boating to the cache site. Underwater caches may range from just a few feet underwater to deep enough that full SCUBA gear is required to reach it.
An underwater cache differs from a hydrocache in that the cache is underwater, whereas a hydrocache is typically on land that must be accessed by crossing water.
