Rest area geocache

Rest area geocaches are those geocaches placed on the public land at roadway rest areas. This is a practice particularly popular along the United States' Interstate Highway System. These caches are somewhat popular among travelling geocachers, as they allow them to break along their trips not only for rest and food, but also to enjoy one of their favorite activities.
Generally, rest area geocaches are on public land and should be approved by the facility's management before placement.
