CITO or "Cache In Trash Out" is the ideal that geocachers should leave an area that they have geocached in better off than they found it.
CITO event caches are event caches held specifically to clean up an area, creating a better environment for geocachers, nature lovers, plants, and animals.
Geocachers who attend a CITO event cache can post a log and receive a CITO event cache icon.
